学校设有4大校园，20多个主学科，伦敦玛丽女王大学提供一系列的高等研究学位：博士（Phd），硕士（MA,MSc and LLM）以及学士课程，涵盖了工程、商务管理、化学、计算机、金融、经济、戏剧、电影、地理、历史、法律、医药、物理、政治等超过200多项专业课程。
玛丽皇后学院和西菲尔德学院都是在1989年接受的皇家宪章，随后又在1995年因合并巴茨和伦敦医科及牙科学校、2008年因枢密院授予其颁发学位许可以及2010年7月的政府报告三度更改。伦敦玛丽女王大学也是1993年慈善法令下的“豁免慈善”机构。自2010年6月起，英格兰高等教育拨款委员会成为其主管机构。
