American basketball is dominated by news from professional and college basketball; however, larger numbers of basketball participants are actually high school players and coaches. And while the high school level might get less attention, it is where the fundamental skills are formed that the upper level game relies on to be successful. Please join us at the Beijing American Center for a talk by American high school basketball coach David Peterson, who brings a broad view of basketball as a player, coach, referee and fan. During his talk he will also share his experiences and observations about the impact this sport has on people, communities and cultures, especially in the western area of the United States where he lives and works.
This program will be in English.
